You can also enjoy activities and visits: in Martinet, The Park of Bunkers and the Home of River (Casa del Riu). You must to visit the village of Llívia, the only city in the state surrounded by French territory everywhere. We can also practice sports and actividades as routes in mountain biking, climbing, canoeing, rafting, ballooning, horse riding, golf, quad biking, hot springs, multi-adventure, etc. to enjoy a full day.
All this makes our home a perfect place of exception.

THE SHIRE
|
The Great Valley in the Pyrenees
La Cerdanya, natural catalan shire par excellence, is a physiographic unit defined by a terrain features, climate and history that give a very particular character. Integrated mainly by the high Valle del Segre, La Cerdanya is one of the valleys wider than Europe, where its minimum altitude (about one thousand meters), its orientation from east to west and a high insolation of the order of 3,000 hours of sunshine per year.
The mountain range consists of the Serra del Cadi (western half), the Serra del Moixeró further east as the Tossa d'Alp and Puigllançada and Pedraforca massif and within Berguedà.
The diversity and beauty of the landscape is very evident: from the pure characteristics of the Mediterranean to alpine meadows culminales levels, yet found in sub-Mediterranean forests, beech, red pine forests and boreal forests of sub-alpine coniferous, with pine and black fir. Park vegetation is considered of special interest, because low temperatures and high humidity in the area and its altitude, contributed to the existence of species that are not typical of the Mediterranean area, but in northern Europe and European or high alpine mountains.
La Cerdanya is an ideal place to enjoy sport in a unique environment, an environment that offers a wide range of possibilities for any type of sport, mountain bike routes, trails, small and great ride, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, golf golf, horse riding, angling, mountaineering, rock climbing, snowshoeing ... ENVIRONMENT AND ACTIVITIES
|
First, Lles and Aransa with its mountains where spring and summer excursions can be made, for example, the Pera Lakes (Llacs de Pera), the Flat Tosa (La Tosa Plana) and the Vall de la Llosa. In the fall you can find mushrooms and winter nordic skiing. The Cadi is also a sought after place for excursions such as Prat de Cadi and Prat de Aguilar. By the way we visit the villages of Montella and Estana.
You can also enjoy activities and visits: in Martinet, the Park of Bunkers and the Home of River (Casa del Riu) Bellver invite to walk the town on foot and by car. Also La Seu d'Urgell as the capital of L'Alt Urgell and Puigcerdà, the capital of Cerdanya, are cities with large cultural and tourist interests. Do not forget La Molina and Masella for practice the downhill skiing. We can also practice sports and activities as routes in mountain biking, climbing, canoeing, rafting, ballooning, horse riding, golf, quad biking, hot springs, multi-adventure, etc.
Tours and Activities:
The county of Cerdanya shares the Natural Park of Cadi-Moixeró, the Alt Urgell and Berguedà. Of calcareous nature, this park is the largest in Catalonia and includes the mountains of the Cadi and Moixeró, Pedraforca massif and much of the massifs of Tossa and Puigllançada.
The highlight of Roman remains in the form of churches, chapels and more than 50 shrines to be visited by following some of the 7 planned routes from the villages of Guils de Cerdanya, Bolvir, Das and Alp.
LLívia:
It is well worth checking out the town of Llívia, the only city in the Spanish State surrounded by French territory everywhere.
Trips to the French Cerdanya:
Visit Montlluís, interesting for its walled enclosure (the place where they signed the Peace of the Pyrenees) with a military citadel and the solar oven Europe's oldest (1050). Visit too the famous mountain resort and ski Font Romeu, the Olympic Village, the Hermitage and the ascent to Calvary, the Geodesic Center of Cerdanya, with wonderful scenery.
