CINGLES BLAUS OCTUBRE 2008

The vineyards of Cingles Blaus are situated in the highest growing area of the Montsant, near Cornudella, on the south side of the Montsant Massif. High altitude means cooler summers, vines don’t suffer from so much heat and harvest is later than in Falset, another spot of the region, where they start picking around the middle of September.
With October I am looking for a wine that is easy to drink, clean and fruital on the nose, tempting, elegant and light on the palate. If there is a bottle on the table, it will empty easily and lead to another. People should drink it without ceremony and allow their senses to enjoy. It is a democratic wine which I hope reaches as many people as possible.
Eloi Milá, Oenologist
“Les Parellades” red clay and limestone soils, Vineyard of Grenache and Mazuelo situated at the foot of the Montsant Massif at an altitude of 575 m. “Noguerals” clay and limestone soils, vineyard of Syrah located on the north east of Cornudella de Montsant at an altitude of 650 m.
6 months in European oak barrels
At Cingles Blaus we harvest in October, a month later than other Spanish regions.
Do you know how this influences the character of our wines?
This gives our wines a uniquely fresh, floral and fruit character.
Color cherry – prune colour, clear. Aroma intense and fruit foward. In the mouth it is balanced, full bodied and full of fruit, easy and inviting.
A wine with character and personality.
13,5 % vol. 75 cl.
