Rhodes, the current Roses was founded in the VIII century BC by the ‘Rodios,’ and is the most ancient Greek colony in Catalunya, and most probably the Sierras Prelitorals of Rodes and the Albera form the most ancient wine growing landscape of the Iberian Peninsula. The rose viewed from below that decorates the label, is the symbol of RHODES on the ancient coins (drachmas) of the colony.
13.004 bottles of 75cl and 160 magnums of 150cl.
The different varieties are fermented separately in stainless steel fermentation tanks cooled to a temperature of 24/26ºC. They are stirred twice daily and 30-40 days from the start of fermentation, the juice is separated from the grape residue, depending on the variety. The length of incubation is determined by tasting.
The fermentation malolactic is carried out in the warehouse. It undergoes minimal treatments of clarification and filtration before being bottled.
12 months in new and semi new casks of Allier French oak of medium/light toasting.
Ripe cherry colour with a lilac edge. Power aroma of ripe red fruit, licorice, cocoa and species. In the mouth it is fresh, balanced, tasty with character and personality.
The perfect accompaniment for both red and white meats, game, sausages, cured cheeses, vegetable stews and rice dishes.
